Prince Harry - Royal Wedding At Windsor

The Queen and other senior royal family members attended the wedding of her eldest grandson at Windsor Castle today.

Peter Phillips, 30, married Canadian management consultant Autumn Kelly, also 30, in a service at the castle's St George's Chapel.

He is the son of Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, and is 11th in line with the throne.

Had Ms Kelly not converted to Anglicanism from Catholicism that eligibility would have been discontinued.

The Queen ad the Duke of Edinburgh were joined by the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, as well as by Prince Harry. There were 300 guests in total, some 70 of which had flown from Canada especially.

Zara Phillips, the bridgegroom's sister, was one of six bridesmaids wearing Vera Wang dresses.

The bridge herself wore a designer dress by Sassi Halford and a tiara loaned to her for the occasion by her new mother-in-law.

The Simpsons - The Simpsons Provokes Argetinian Protests

Hit U.S. TV show THE SIMPSONS has come under fire in Argentina - after the country aired an episode featuring "offensive" comments about former president JUAN PERON.

The show sees main character Homer Simpson discussing Peron - who ruled for over ten years before his death in 1974 - with best friend Carl Carlson.

The pair call him a "military dictator" and insist "when he disappeared you, you stayed disappeared".

They go on, adding, "Plus his wife was Madonna" - referring to the 1996 film Evita, the story of Peron's second wife Eva, in which the singer played the title role.

But the comments have infuriated people in the Latin American country - with many calling for the cartoon to be censored.

Lorenzo Pepe, head of the Juan Domingo Peron Institute, called the episode "highly offensive, that part about Madonna was too much".

The Simpsons also attracted controversy in Venezuela earlier this month (Apr08), with president Hugo Chavez banning the programme, branding it full of "messages that go against the whole education of boys, girls and adolescents".

The show was later reinstated.

Dr Phil visits Spears during hospital stay

Pop singer Britney Spears has reportedly received a visit from television therapist Dr Phil McGraw.
Spears reportedly received the visit during her stay at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, where she was admitted following a custody dispute over her two young children at her home.
Spears was taken to the hospital for evaluation after police officers observed her to be under the influence of an unknown substance. She was discharged on Saturday.
According to People magazine, Dr Phil McGraw visited the singer and her family during her stay in hospital.
Sam Lufti, a friend of the singer, said: "I witnessed Dr Phil being incredibly influential in helping the family unite. His meeting with Britney has certainly made a positive impact instilling seeds of encouragement and reality within her."
He also said: "In the near future it is likely that more information may be shared with the public with the hopes of better understanding a situation as serious as this."
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has now ordered Spears' children to be placed in the sole care of her ex-husband Kevin Federline, suspending the pop star's visitation rights until "further order of the court".
A hearing has been set for 14 January which will determine how the custody battle will proceed.

Charles Barkley - Barkley Faces Vegas Lawsuit

Retired basketball icon-turned-U.S. TV presenter CHARLES BARKLEY is under investigation by Las Vegas officials after reportedly building up gambling debts of $400,000 (GBP200,000).

The 45 year old has been targetted by the District Attorney's office after casino bosses at The Wynn Las Vegas filed suit against the former NBA star on Wednesday (14May08).

According to court documents, which have been obtained by TMZ.com, the casino chiefs let Barkley borrow four `markers' worth $100,000 (GBP50,000) apiece during a gambling spree in October (07), and the basketball great has yet to return the cash.

Barkley, who has acknowledged an addiction to gambling in the past, faces felony charges if the sum is not paid, according to Clark County District Attorney David Roger.

Murphy & wife split after two weeks

Actor Eddie Murphy and his film producer wife Tracey Edmonds have split up just two weeks into their marriage.
The pair tied the knot in a romantic ceremony on a private island off Bora Bora on 1 January last.
However, according to US law the couple must have a ceremony on US soil in order  to make the marriage legal.
The couple told People magazine in a statement that they would not be having such a ceremony together but would remain friends.
The statement said: "After much consideration and discussion, we have jointly decided that we will forego having a legal ceremony as it is not necessary to define our relationship further."
"While the recent symbolic union in Bora Bora was representative of our deep love, friendship and respect that we have for one another on a spiritual level, we have decided to remain friends."
